California Gold Rush — 32 Ford Roadster |
|
|
There is little doubt the cars that inspire us as youth often hold a special place in our hearts as time passes. For Pat Patton, inspiration came in the form of a '32 Ford lowboy roadster, channeled deeply over the frame rails, with wide whitewall tires, mag wheels, and a tuck n' roll interior.
Custom touches include a '54 Chevrolet taillight bezel as a shift boot trim ring, a custom made gas cap, drilled pedals and shifter, a '40 ford steering wheel atop a Limeworks steering column, and '37 Ford taillight buckets, just to name a few.
Like many well built hot rods, you really need to spend some time carefully examining Pat's Deuce roadster in order to truly appreciate the custom touches he has added and how well they work together.
Wasting no time since its completion, and true to the cars that inspired Pat's golden Deuce, it received a "Class Award" at the prestigious Grand National Roadster Show. But, don't kid yourself into thinking Pat's Deuce is a trailer queen. This Deuce was built to run. Pat says, "It drives and sounds as good as it looks."
Explore those looks first hand with this roadster's web extra photos. |
