When Panel Vans Roamed the Earth |
|
|
Vans were bitchin' long before they were mini. They hauled ass instead of kids and light squeezed in from crescent moon windows instead of DVD screens with Nemo.
These beasts that brought large scale mural artwork to the streets in the form of wizards, sunsets and sword wielding barbarians are sadly on the verge of extinction.
Even oil embargoes couldn't destroy these decadent cruising chambers, they were eventually done in by their own success. Vans made such a strong impression on many of the children conceived in them, that only one generation later they were domesticated and used as pack mules.
What can you do to help? Consider picking one of these dinosaurs up at the bone yard and bringing it home. Every van deserves a second chance.
Find inspiration from the nearly 20 years of the National Truck In's "Best of Show" models found on the Showvans.com website. |
