Guys who Keep the Gassers Going
Gassers
There was a time when low wasn't cool, a time when propping that front end up in the air meant more weight thrown on the back tires at launch, and back in the fifties and sixties that rear rubber needed all the help it could get.

Wide racing slicks may have still been under developed but back then but theories of weight distribution were in full force. Fiberglass hoods and fenders, straight axels instead of heavy front suspensions and cut out firewalls all pointed to one thing: getting a car down the strip as fast as possible with standard gas to fuel it.

The term "Gassers" originated from the class of fuel burned but has grown to define a unique purpose driven style of race car in American history. Period correct performance parts continue to gain in popularity and so do websites that show the process of adding them.
