An In-Car Cooler: What You Should've Gotten for Father's Day |
|
|
Another Fathers Day slipped by with a "World's greatest Dad" mug and burnt breakfast in bed. What you really wanted was the Hogan's Heroes box set but there's no way to buy it under the radar now. No, if you're going to treat yourself now it'll have to look like fun for the whole family, but we've got you covered.
A company called Koolatron makes 12v thermoelectric coolers that plug into your cigarette lighter and keep contents 40 degrees cooler than the outside temp — without ice. This means they take up less space and stay dry. Very handy for summer trips in the minivan and soccer practice, but absolutely essential for cruise nights and car shows.
One option is a 31 can capacity cooler than can turn your trunk into a rolling refrigerator with a quickly wired 12v power source, another is narrow enough to fit a case of cans in-between your front seats with one in your hand.
It's not too late to slip in some post holiday gratitude from your family with a visit to the Cooler-Store website. |
