A Sentimental Restoration |
|
|
Some people have a classic vehicle tucked away that's just not destined for modification. It could be their dad's old farm or shop truck patiently waiting for a second life, maybe a gorgeous convertible holding out hope of restoration to be the highlight of a summer parade.
The value in these machines is sentimental. The thought of containing their years as a time capsule outweighs the desire to shave seconds off their street or strip performance.
Another thrill owners find is the hunt for illusive parts. Piecing together a new look for an old car doesn't come easy but always delivers big rewards in the end.
One place to start looking is Kanter Auto. Their handy website interface lets you input the make and year of your car, then navigates through the rest of their offerings presenting only parts that fit it.
Of course you'll find things like engine and brake overhaul kits for Ford, GM, Packard and Desoto, but you'll also lock down components for such beauties as Auburn, Hudson, Pierce-Arrow and LaSalle, just to name a few.
Find out what 50 years of service in cars from the 1930's to the 1980's looks like on Kanter's website.
