What? A Simple-to-Understand Driver? |
|
|
Gotta hand it to Cobra Golf's new S2 Driver. It's one of the:
- Better looking drivers on the market
- Simpler ones to understand
That is, instead of having an adjustable hosel and adjustable clubhead, the S2 has "Adjustable Flight Technology" that enables you to quickly and easily optimize the ball flight via one of three face-angle settings. That's the key: quick and easy.
The S2 (SRP $375) is available in lofts of 8.5, 9.5, 10.5 and 11.5 degrees, with the new Fujikura Fit-on Max graphite shaft and Golf Pride grips.
Also, Cobra offers an S2 Offset Driver (SRP $325) for mid- and high-handicap golfers. The offset is subtle and not a distraction to view at address. Cobra Golf is one of the few major equipment companies to still offer offset metal woods.
Cobra Golf will ship the S2 Max Hybrid iron set in March and Baffler F fairway woods in June. The set will be available in steel shafts ($499) that feature two hybrid clubs and in graphite ($599) with three hybrids. The Baffler F fairway woods ($185 each) are built on the same technology as Cobra's popular Baffler clubs.
Cobra's 9-point face technology.
