Video: A Blonde Model & ATV Adventures
ATV Adventures
You don't put "blonde model" and "ATV adventures" in the same sentence very often, but that's what happens with "Destination Polaris." Laura Schara — a Macy's fashion consultant who instructs models and conducts huge fashion shows — might strike you as a surprising co-host for a TV show about muddy off-roading, but she shouldn't.

Laura has co-hosted outdoor TV shows for the better part of a decade, and is quite the trap shooter and angler (she's also the daughter of outdoor personality Ron Schara). On "Destination Polaris," she's often the one setting the stage for an ATV adventure in some far-flung corner of the country, whether it's Alaska, Louisiana or New Mexico.

You can see clips of the show's popular "Top Destinations" segment on its website; you might get some road-trip ideas. The stories behind the destinations are as interesting as the ATV action itself — from the breathtaking beauty of Anchorage to the old "Wild West" of Crown King.
