Watch Live Loon Cam

You can't hunt 'em, but you have to admit: Loons are special birds. Here's a spectacular opportunity to watch a pair of nesting loons up close and personal, thanks to a live loon cam.

Odds are you've seen these beautiful birds and heard their haunting calls on the water before, but you've probably never seen—or heard—them like this before. Minnesota loon lover Larry Backlund rigged up a camera on a nesting platform he built behind his lakeshore house and, luckily, a pair of loons agreed to be the stars of this new reality TV show.

Outdoor TV personality Ron Schara did a story on Backlund's loon cam and agreed to post the loon cam on his "Minnesota Bound" website so that outdoorsmen everywhere could enjoy the spectacular view.
