Something You Thought You'd Never Do |
|
|
Whether you're a Cheesehead or not, you might find yourself buying a Green Bay Packers hat. The Packers created a "Hunting Down Hunger" program that's drawing support from hunters across the country—even those who love 'da Bears.
Here's the scouting report on the program: The Pack created a handful of hats in blaze orange and camo that they're selling online. For every hat sold, they give $5 to a hunger relief program. They basically realized two things: 1) a lot of folks need help right now (600,000 people in Wisconsin rely on assistance to feed their families) and 2) hunters are some of the most generous and helpful people around.
If you're a Packers fan this one seems like a no-brainer. If you're not, well, you might find yourself doing something you thought you'd never do—after all, you've probably got a hunting buddy you could give it to, maybe even as a gag gift.
So far, they've sold more than 21,000 hats and have raised $105,000. That number's growing, too.
You can buy these "Hunting Down Hunger" Packer hats online right now: a camo baseball cap, a blaze orange baseball cap or a blaze orange wool knit hat. |
