The Cure for Crummy Hunting |
|
|
Sleeping in your pickup bed is kick-butt brilliant when it puts you within a short, pre-dawn hike of a trophy buck or bull. The downside is leaving behind creature comforts—and we're not talking about fluffy pillows or countless cable channels. We're talking about made-for-a-man items such as a tiny microwave (yes, just like the one you lived with in college).
Think about it: Who wants to spend time cooking after hunting hard all day?
Instead, open your cooler, grab a pre-made home-cooked meal, then zap it in the micro. Eat. Sleep. Hunt. Repeat.
Of course, even MacGyver can't power-up a microwave by rubbing two sticks together, so bring along Honda's new EU2000i Camo Generator. Its four-stroke engine, totally enclosed body and two-tiered noise dampening system reduces sounds to 53 decibels (quieter than normal speech) at one-quarter load, which means you won't alert distant game animals.
The EU2000i runs up to 15 hours on 1 gallon of fuel, and it's small—about the length of a 5-pound bass.
