Grow Your Own Fruit—It's Easy!
Apple Tree
Imagine strolling through your yard, picking your own fresh fruit, and making a mouth-watering fruit salad straight from the garden. Just plant a few fruit trees! Start your research now, plant this fall, and be ready to enjoy the fruits of your labor next spring.

Choose the right size
Dwarf fruit trees (8 to 12 feet tall) are perfect for small spaces or large pots. Semi-dwarf trees (12 to 18 feet tall) are ideal if you want a large crop without having to climb tall, scary ladders to harvest and prune. Standard-size trees (20 to 30 feet tall) last through generations.

Pairs and spares
Some fruit trees need a companion to cross-pollinate, while others will bear fruit on their own or when planted with the same cultivar. Choose disease-resistant cultivars to make sure your tree stays healthy through the years.
