Cast Like Kevin VanDam
Cast Like Kevin VanDam
Line twist and backlashes can ruin a good day on the water, no matter who are. So what do top pros do? Well, more than a few rely on Kevin VanDam's Line and Lure Conditioner to reduce headaches and curse words.

Don't ask us to explain this—the science is beyond us—but the conditioner has a liquid that somehow bonds to your line's surface and relaxes it. Just give your line three or four squirts at the beginning of the day and it'll zip freely through the guides. Not only will it be easier to handle, you'll make 20 percent longer casts, too.

There are some other uses, too, if you're interested, like cleaning sunglasses and removing nasty mildew odors from boat storage compartments. Turns out even the pros deal with stink.
