And The Winner Is ...
No gimmicks. No special effects. No fancy packaging or clever slogans. "Best of Show" at fishing's annual ICAST tradeshow is about one thing, and one thing only: the best new products on the planet.

As a manufacturer, if you create something that wins "Best of Show," you're golden. Just ask Shimano — they won Best New Hard Lure, Freshwater Reel, Saltwater Reel and Saltwater Rod.
StellaFreshwater Reel: Stella FE
How do you turn a good reel (Stella FD) into a great reel (Stella FE)? Well, Shimano did it by adding its new X-Ship Double Bearing Supported Pinion Gear, which increases power and gear efficiency, and gives anglers ultra-light handle rotation. It's also super smooth.
Trinidad A Saltwater Reel: Trinidad A
One piece framing allows for the Trinidad A to be narrower, while still keeping enough line capacity for tuna fishing, etc. It's got a brand new drag system with a wider range of settings than ever before, and it's corrosion resistant. At ICAST you could tell the Shimano boys were extra pumped about this reel.
TerezSaltwater Rod: Terez
The Terez is a 60-pound rod that's thinner than your pinky finger. The raw pulling power of this thing is ridiculous, and it's got the new K guides from Fuji that eliminate wind knots. Not that it matters, but it looks cool, too. Comes in five colors: sunset red, fighting lady yellow, emerald green, aqua and pearl white.
