These Lures Are Ferocious |
Fish attractants, from simple garlic scent to complex formulas designed in some laboratory, have the same purpose — to get gamefish to open their mouths, take the lure and hold on for as long as possible.
YUM, among the country's leading soft-plastic bait creators, introduced its latest version at the national ICAST fishing tradeshow last week. They call it F2, for "Ferocity Squared." Those who know the F2 secret won't divulge anything more than that "it's a highly-concentrated, natural formula, and according to testing on live fish at Mississippi State University, bass prefer F2 by 30 percent."
Anglers will be able to get YUM F2 in four just-released soft plastics: the new Mighty Bug multi-segmented creature bait, Wooly Bullee flippin' bait, Salleemander swimming lizard and Shakealicious shaky worm. Two favorites, the 5-inch YUM Dinger and 3 ¾-inch Money Craw are also F2 infused.
