Watch Live Loon Cam
Live Loon Cam
The Ojibwa Indians believed the common loon's haunting call was an omen of death. If you haven't been lucky enough to have heard it, this might be your chance.

This year, Larry Backlund's live loon cam (mounted on a specially designed nesting platform) is wired for sound. Which means you not only get to watch this pair of mysterious and graceful birds as they attempt to hatch and raise their clutch of chicks, you'll hear all the sounds of nature as well.

Check out Larry's Loon Blog, too. Backlund makes multiple entries daily, just in case you've missed something good.

Forward this email to your friends who appreciate nature as much as you do.
