See and Fish What Others Can't |

For sure, five or six hundred bucks would go a long way toward repaving the driveway, giving the house a fresh coat, or redoing the patio. But, none of those things will give you the same thrill as catching fish from cover nobody else knows about. Actually, for an angler, not too many things in the world can equal that.
So, if you're considering updating your sonar package, take some good advice and look seriously at the latest technology. Call it side viewing, side scanning, or whatever you want, it shows the bottom in detail you've never seen before, and allows you to drop waypoints on sweet spots that could be 150 feet from the boat. Imagine catching crappies from a deck chair that blew off a pontoon boat last year, or catfish from a stack of old tires no one knows about.
Yeah, you'll probably still have to paint the house, but daydreaming about those hotspots waiting for you will make the time fly.
