FYI: Lifetime Tool Warranty?? |
Let's say you're in the market for a drill driver. Who isn't? It's versatile, one of those basic power tools you can't do without in the shop or out on a jobsite. There are many good ones, of course, with wonderful features, but what about their warranties?
Warranties are (yawn) boring, frankly. And yet they could save you a bundle — especially this Ridgid Full Lifetime Warranty.
Here's the deal, quoting Ridgid: "Should your tool ever malfunction from defects in workmanship or materials, we will repair or replace the tool free of charge." This is a tool-lifetime warranty.
As with all warranties, there's fine print here. But we tip our hat when companies go a bit extra to show some love to their customers. The take-away message is remember warranties when purchasing. They're an important consideration if you expect your power tools to last, and they help ensure that your tool budget doesn't spin out of control.
