Split-Personality Paint Sprayer |
This paint sprayer has some major identity issues — and we're glad of it. The new Milwaukee Airless/Finish Paint Sprayer works for fine finishing (as an HVLP), and, as we found out, it functions as an airless sprayer for larger projects.
We used this sprayer to apply latex paint on 250 sq. ft. of bead board and built-ins. The job would have required hours of brush work. Instead, it required hours of prep and clean-up. Because it's a new product, there was a learning curve (next time will be easier). And we wanted more clear illustrations and how-to directions in the manual. Nevertheless, for this complex project, the unit's spraying ease and speed helped to overcome these obstacles.
At $379, the M4910-20 model is not a one-project purchase. Frankly, its main strength is its versatility. We used it only in the airless mode, but we were completely satisfied with the finished results.
